Hello Guys.
I'm new to WSF... but I'm not new to the outdoors.
I'm only 13, but my dad taught me how to fish at around 5, hunt at 7, and trap about 2 years ago.
So my question is...

If I'm looking to catch a rabbit or a squirrel in mid-winter on a 60+ acre forest/farm, and I use bait... Should I use a deadfall or a snare?

I have almost 10 spots where I want to put 10 traps. And normally I only trap muskrat, fox, mink, and other small animals. I have never trapped a squirrel, rabbit, or anything like that yet.

Thank you for the feedback :)

for squirrel i would definately use snares. A squirrel pole works great. for bunnies you can go either way depending how you set up your deadfall otherwise i would go with the snare for bunnies as well.

Sorry but, I smell a trap. Age 13? Shouldn't that be Foxboy? The grammer , spelling and questioning would make it closer to man. IMO.

The signature is a little mature too.

Well in any case - Foxman - it is customary (well, with prompting) to go to the introduction section to tell everybody a bit about yourself. You did pretty good here, so welcome.

My name is one of my favorite books from Gary Paulsen.
And so I write like a lot of older people. I like it. And for my myspace page, you can't be 13. I believe you have to be 14 or older. So I set my profile as 14 when i got it. I've had it for almost a year now and i just never changed my fake year of birth. And I love God so I choose a quote from the bible that goes with nature. I thank Crashdive 123 and Sarky for actually responding with feedback that I can use, but for you other two... really. You come onto my thread and rant about how I'm some little kid who has really no business on this site.

Correction on you. I didn't say you didn't have any business on this site. I said to anyone who can understand, that you seem much older than you claim.

I use Rat spring traps attached to trees with wood screws to catch squirrels
or the squirrel pole. Much easier.

Foxman. Good for you for standing your ground .

I'm sorry to have offended you. However, you aren't the typical juvi.

Don't diss the Wolf-Pack; we get a lot of "under-cover Trolls here so we've got cause to be suspicious. Like you, I love the Lord & his word...which is why I would question someone who makes the same claim then lies about his age to get onto Myspace. That sounds a bit off-center to me...you see what I'm saying?
