Took a nice little walk today for Thanksgiving. Here are a few pics (from the cheapo camera - good one does not look salvagable)

This elbow in a tree reminded me of a face, albeit a face with one eye, but a face.

Do you get many snakes down where you are?

Thanks for taking the time to post your pics.

It looks like a nice sunny day.

Sunny, 70*. This trail was through some ancient sand dunes. Some of the literature said that about 100,000 years ago it was just sand and sea oats, but the water has receded over time.

After all the turkey I ate today, looking at those pictures was about as much exercise as I can manage. Thanks!

We're going to get together with a bunch of family in mid Dec. We decided that our waistlines didn't need all that food, so we spent the day in Anistasia State Park and did a picnic lunch.

Have you been to Homosassa Springs on the Gulf side? They have a manatee rescue center there that is really cool. The have a glass bottomed viewing area that extends about 15 feet underwater and, if you are really lucky, the manatees will swim around you. It's pretty awesome.

Haven't been there. We have spent quite a bit of time around Sanibel and Captiva. On some of the smaller islands you would often see a manatee. They really are pretty cool. They'll swim right up to you and eat out of your hand.

As opposed to gators that will swim right up to you and eat your hand. That's pretty much how you tell them apart.

Nice pics Crash, thanks. Rick we need to talk about your gator phobia, first off, sit down take a deep breath....there are NO gators where you live. Feel better? OK, now, when did you start having these fears? Was it cuz of Captain Hook? that was a crocodile that was stalking him ok? Not a gator...you're ok...
