Sorry for not introducing myself sooner,I just did not think about it. since there is not much to tell about me I will share a story with you. It was September 11 and i just left work after pulling 18 hrs went home and crashed. Woke up at noon to see the samething on every tv station, could not get a call to anyone.Did not know what really was happening. ended up packing a bag with cloths, flashlight, peanutbutter and crackers. left it by the door just in case. A month went by and i finally picked up the bag and realized i was a sitting duck if something happend. And I started my mission to get prepared and stay prepared. and now I am prepared.
Did i mention that i lived 5 min. from a major airport 15 min from a airforce base ,6 min from a defense supply center and had a army reserve center on my same road. so there was lots to be prepared for

I feel ya. I am 15 miles from one of the largest Nuclear Power Plants in the country, and work less than a mile from a major military administrative bases. Ignoring the minor issue with Tornados every spring, its a great place to run away from!
And welcome to the forum! I am having fun here so far, hope you do as well.

Welcome.....
I used to know a great place with a lot of information for people just starting out. Tremendous amount of information about living near a nuclear power plant and things such as that. Now what was the name of that site? It will come to me, I know it will. They had a great information section. Oh, by the way, welcome home.
