Let’s hear some of your best quick fixes or improvised products.
Saw this thread on Reddit on improvised stoves and got me thinking about how amusing the topic is;

Duct tape for anything.
PVC glue for a cut. It burns like he11, but it works.

Hey Yogi - how about popping over to the Introduction section (I hear they have picnic baskets there) and tell us a bit about yourself. Thanks. The improvised fixes is a good topic......kind of like multi use items. http://www.wilderness-survival.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1071

chiye tanka, try super glue, never remember a burn from it so far.
Ranger bands, saftey pins, a dedicated sewing kit for when super glue and duct tape is to much or not enough.

One item I made and can highly recommend is a butt warmer. I was always getting a very cold backside in the winter - most jackets aren't cut long enough or the wind whistles up to the tender body parts anyway. A couple years ago during a cold snap, I got fed up with it and took an old pair of underpants and sewed fake sheerling (?is that what it's called? fake lambswool) to the rear end. Not much of a fashion statement but it makes for toasty buns.

Yep been there too. I was on a jobsite and didn't have super glue, so I used what I had. You're right though, super glue is better.
