This knife was made from a piece of old crosscut saw blade, Curly maple handles. The sheath for the knife is made of cow hide and buckskin.

Coat hanger and epoxy. This knife has hade a lot of use, I use it a lot making triggers and traps, Split wood by hammering it through. That is some very tough steel. Thanky for the Looky.

I like that RWB.
Nice and I love the sheath.
I'll have to post a machete I made as a first attempt....see what you guys think of it.
I like it , I am partial to knives that wear well around the neck . Did you blue the steel or use some thing else to create the dark patina?

You do good work, looks good and can't beat an old crosscut saw for good steel. I am hard on knives so mine are kinda plain. Just curious, I was gonna make a hatchet out of 1/4" spring steel, one piece 4" X 12" ever make one with a curved edge about 5" or so??

The Patina came from, Softening the steel, and the hardening, Was done in charcoal fire so it leaves scale and color, If I could get a better pic it would show up better.

Very nice,i like how you have left the forge scale on the blade, makes for a rustic style which i very much like to see.
Did you make the sheath because it is really nice.

Great job! I like curly maple handles, and the sheath style you made compliments the knife well. Real nice job.
