i haven't realy dropped in in a while so i figured i'd give you all a friendly status report.

i'm up on the oregon coast for a few weeks and i'm waist deep in chantarelles most days. i've been finding some porcini [king bolete] aswell, but the rest will be following suit soon. i'm trying to wrangle up a camera for the wild plant and mushroom wiki, but i'm completely broke at the moment.

I found some monkey stars the other day, they are not edible but they do look cool.

are those like earth stars [Geastraceae]? i've never encountered that common name before, but it sounds interesting.
