Thanks Wareagle for your words of wisdom. :)

I have indeed been known to pop my favourite saying (you cannae polish a sh1te) onto different boards as and when it seems appropriate (which is a surprising amount LOL). It was a saying I was taught in the days when people paid me stupid amounts of money to make commercials of their 'wonderful products' !

I don't have a huge amount of 'wilderness experience' that's what attracted me to your forum. My grandfather was a gamekeeper in the Lake District in the UK but sadly died before I was old enough to take much of it in. He did however pass on a love for the outdoors.

So much so that before I got into the film industry I went to Agriculture at college thinking that's what I'd like to do until I realised that without owning land yourself you were but a slave to a master. So I gave it up. Until now.

Now my wife and the two kids who remain with us (7yrs & 18yrs) for now are trying to get off the grid and become self sufficient.

I've shot all my life. Mainly shotguns until I came to Australia a while back which was when I fell in love with a Glock which then got crushed by the govnmnt buy back 'cos it was a poofteenth too short.

I am known by 8 Passes Wind on another site and BugOut on another. I wasn't aware there was a law against that.

No surupticious reason. Just find it fun to screw around with names and avatars. And it also shows that I don't take myself too seriously unlike some others.

I am Scottish.

Anything else????

Just bl00dy ask. OK.

So I say again.......G'day from Australia!!!

Please don't be offended Arsey, we get a lot of "Trolls" on here that we have to deal with from time to time. Some real "Numptys", ya know? I appreciate your 2nd post, lots of good info there so's if you ask a question on survival we'll know how to answer you better; cool?
