Do you think that BPA is dangerous to humans? BPA is found in certain translucent or clear plastic bottles and the liners of metal cans.

Yes, have converted to Stainless Steel water bottles.
It may end up like the Chinese "melamine?" issue, going unnoticed till it causes tragedy.
PS I always boil out Stainless Steel (nickle leaching)

Tsitenha, only instant tragedies get publicity. This BPA issue is a slow moving problem. Problems don't show up until you get cancer spikes in separate populations.

I'm not one to knee-jerk about the latest fad problem. I'm not worried about the lead in my soldered water pipes, nor about aluminum cook pans. But this BPA problem has been validated in scientific studies. All the chemicals in our products might have a part in explaining all the dysfunctional families and mental illness out there. Weird chemicals that do not belong in the body can do weird, subtle things.

I, we, were in the process of converting to SS but this hastened our time frame. We use our water bottles daily, so we saw no need to delay and expose ourselves to more than we already have absorbed.

I'm terribly worried about the BPA <takes bite out of big mac, then twinkie, then washes it down with a soda>

I used to be just terrified about the whole BPA thing, but since I've discovered chlorazapam, I just take a couple of those every night and a few throughout the day (only one at a time if I'm driving or operating heavy equipment, mind you!) and calm as all get out. I sleep better and I'm down to smoking only a pack and a half a day.

At the moment, I'm a lot more concern about the fact that I just wipe my eyelid after handling a hot pepper. Dang almighty it burns!

Just rinse your eyes with some water out of your polycarbonate water bottle.
