Oak? looks like it could make quite a beast. my latest ash bow is just now on the short string. i took some 1/3 draw shots to limber the limbs up a bit and this thing is a rocket.

can't wait to see how the blade and the bow come along.

looking good. I just got acess to a grinder and am going to be working on a couple of blades over the winter myself.

I likr that your using a file for the blade. Ive made several knives from them, Heat treated rite you wont be dissapointed.
