Hey Bragg - and I'm being serious when I say this.... If you truely believe the D&G that you are posting (I believe you do), rather than continually post that the end is near over and over and over again, why not give solutions for what you believe is coming. Keep in mind that not everybody may have the financial wherewithall to rush out and buy physical gold. So take the scenario that there are some people viewing the WSF and haven't done the 20 plus years of preparation that you have don. What, realistically should they do?

Back in february when I first signed up here, I posted about getting out of consumer debt, paying off loans, knocking down or paying off your mortgage, storing food, fuel, ammo ect.
I said back then what exactly is happening now.
I believe it is going to get much, much worse.
Do I believe it is the end of the world with this financial crisis? No, just a part of it. The begining.
I believe it is the end as we have known it.
It maybe too late for most.

OK - Then why keep banging the drum?
There are two..and only two...rules to follow. 1) Reduce expenses or 2) Increase income. You can, of course, do both at the same time. Want some ideas? Keep a 30 day diary of everything you spend money on. At the end of 30 days you'll be surprised how much you purchased that you didn't need.

Current events as it unfolds.
You finally posted something I agree with. For some it is too late and for some it will be the end of the economic life as they know it. I've always thought of an economic collapse as a domestic or global issue but I will admit to an economic collapse on a personal level being most possible for many many folks. For those who had not been diligent in their financial dealings they might be or soon will be in survival mode. I can certainly agree with that.

Personally it has been a wake up call. I appreciate a good kick when I need it. It doesn't hurt to be ready for all your capable of being ready for.
Actually I agree with that. However, let's look at it from...say....a fire starting thread (since we talk about that a lot). If somebody were to come to the forum and post several times a day .... and every day (with 2 day breaks every now and then)
The winter's coming if you can't start fire you're going to die.
You better know how to start fire or else it's the end.
Fire can save your life - hope it's not too late for you.
Every day, over and over again........yep, I got it - fire is important, now tell me something useful instead of we're all in for a crap sandwhich over and over again.

You're right - I could just skip over them, but I don't. I might actually miss some useful stuff (I miss the BBQ posts), and if somebody is going to take the time to memorialize their thoughts, I figure I may as well read them. But you're right, I should just skip over some.

Yea, I've been standing at the smoker often as of late. Crash is right, BBQing threads are uplifting.

It's hard to beat good yard bird that falls off the bone. I like to wrap mine up after the bbq and let it steam.[/QUOTE]
Tinfoil? How far along do you BBQ it?

Sounds great. I don't know how well it would go over here, as my kids fight over the crispy chicken skin. At some point do you uncover to re-crisp the skin over heat?
