Thanks for the invite. I don't care all that much for bugs. I am rather fond of snake though and have been known to dine on feral dogs and cats.

Last week, I used a sapling to swat grasshoppers, and they turned a reddish color when I cooked them. I didn't use grass to cabob them instead I used a twig.

Raspberry jam, blueberry pie, bacon wrapped grouse breasts, moose jerky, the mountains as they turn from green to purple to white, the smell of spruce, birch and alder smoke in the air, hearing the grandkids scream with excitement at the sight of the first snow fall. All these things and more are a cherished fall treat for me.:)

Of course, the other side of that coin is a grasshopper won't stomp your Adam's Apple out if you miss your shot.

canid

no but a couple million flying ones might.

rick: "darn, i missed."
grasshopper: "i hate that guy"
grasshopper 2: "just wait. 5 more years, we'll bide our time...".

Moose (Use his best De Niro impression): Are you shootin' at me? Are you shootin' at me? You must be shootin' at me 'cause I don't see no other moose around here."

Ah generally if you miss the shot they run away, except the really really stupid ones stand there and let you have another shot.

Moose (uses his best Rocky Balboa impression): "That all you got? c'mon, hit me, hit me!"
