But the blade (not a full tang) was never heat treated. He's not even sure of the type of steel he used. As he said, he was more into making the handle.

Interesting, but seems way too much trouble, when you can buy a much better quality knife for under $30.

.....but it's a whole lot more fun and rewarding to make something.......just my thoughts on it.
