This weekend I made a small bone knife just for shear fun and well to see how sharp I could get it its nowhere near the cutting edge of a mora but it would suffice in an emergency :

Heres another form of knife you can try, it involves using only the End Grain.

sh4d0wm, Very nice work, and quick! You're also right in that, it will never be as sharp or as strong as a steel knife, but good to know how to make one in a survival situation where you don't have or lost your steel knife.

I'm going to make one, just to know I can, if needed.

Actually was made from remnents of a cow leg bone I wrestled away from the pack of Rotties in my back yard . They didn't want to give it up but was the only piece left of 4 leg bones the rest they devoured . >>>>>>>>>> wanna keep a dog busy for hours? ............stuff a cow leg bone with peanut butter lmbo

What are the dimensions of the knife? Blade (length & belly) and overall length?
