Hello everyone!
I'm a woman who has lived the back-to-basics life on the west coast of British Columbia since before it was 'fashionable'. I have been here since 1946 and have spent the majority of time in the bush and on the ocean, enjoying my life and what it has to offer.
It took until about 12 years ago before I found a man who's company I could enjoy without giving up my lifesyle, and who could handle hunting, fur preping, gold panning and my (seldom) outbursts of femininity. Together we have made a good home on a terrific chunk of land, well away from most people.
Our one major concession to modern life is the computer and sattelite hook-up. I've investigated a number of so-called "Survival" and "Back to Basics" sites, and this one seems the best by far. I hope to never stop learning or sharing, as each day close to nature is loaded with lessons if people would only stop long enough to see!!
I hope to be able to contribute as well as learn in my new home here, but please excuse me, I have a lot of reading to do first! :)
