Hello to everyone. I am just a normal guy in Tempe, AZ. Although my career and in-town obligations keep me pretty close to civilization, my longtime interest in outdoor self sufficiency is alive and well. I love to camp and hike. I am an avid firearm collector and shooter and have always looked for bushcraft/campcraft type activities when I am in outdoor environments. Heck, I've even been known to build lean-to shelters in my back yard out of old bamboo just for kicks. When I acquire new outdoor skills I feel like I really have something that nobody can take away from me. -Something that not everyone has, ...something really special. I love anything that involves projectiles (atlatls, bows, archery, firearms, slingshots). I greatly admire simple things (equipment, techniques, etc.). The first books that I read as a kid were "The Boy Who Sailed Around the World Alone" by Robin Grahm and "The Complete Walker" by Collin Fletcher. Since then I have seized every opportunity to learn anything I can and PRACTICE IT. Thats why I am here. To get together with those who have gone before me and learn new ideas, techniques, and gear. Also, maybe share a thing or two that I have picked up in 42 years. Thanks for being here, and I'll look forward to every communication we have!
