Did you know that scientists have successfully taken two monkeys and switched their heads with both subjects surviving!? LIke getting a monkey, taking it's head off and putting that head on another monkey, and it survived (although I don't know how long) At first it was too unbelievable to me, but then I saw the clip from the national geographic channel where they were actually doing the opperation. They really did it! Of course those guys got shut down pretty quickly after the opperation. But man, that just is kind of disturbing to me! What are they going to do next???

Well, that does show merit in the sense that they evidently reattached the spinal cord with some degree of success. That's a positive. I used to teach biology and anatomy/physiology so biotechnology interests me. I like to know what's "doable," but I also consider myself an ethical guy.

In essence (philosophical question) would that be a body transplant? Are you your brain? If your body was too damaged could your brain be inserted into a new body? Would you be the same?

Actually I was thinking about what I would do if I had a monkey body, and the possibilitys are endless! I mean Chimps are 8x stronger than a human, so I could climb and win any fight with monkey tactics. PLus I'd thrive in the forrest I'd be the ultimate survival creation! The special forces would probably hire me or I'd join black water or something where my monkey skills would be used most. Or I could be a government assasin. I'd probably be a lot more stealthy. Of course I'd never have a family. And I probably wouldn't be accepted into society, and depending where the monkey was born I may or may not be able to become president.
