Reading That Topo Map

Having a topo map and understanding or being able to interpret what all those lines mean can often mean the difference between tracking out an easy trail or finding yourself at the base of a vertical wall looking up.

Here's a nice site that gives you a quick and dirty lesson on what the lines and colors mean.
