Have you ever used cow pies to make fire bundles? A nice dry one smolders for hours without going out. smoldering cow wraped in birch allows you to carry fire whereever you need it. also you can maintain a fire without fuel.

I'm pretty sure that isn't cow hockey. If it is, I'll bet the cow gave new meaning to Mooo! That even looks painful.

I would use anything if I had to. I won't ever use doo doo if I don't have to.

It depends for me, I like taking advantage of every oppertunity (like all people in the bush should) If theres a good supply of the stuuf then, why not ?

Sorry I didnt have any cow pics so i used a photo of a Glass Bullseye Buffalo
(its a rope trimming tool) I was wondering how everbody else makes thier tinder bundles
for carrying fire from one place to another

I generally don't carry fire from one place to another. I carry multiple methods for starting fire, along with multiple tinder sources should natural tinder not be available.

Thanks Crash, I read that thread I gained some useful insights. Dung smolders Hot for hours the moisture level in the material does have to very low.
