I'm thinking of buying this knife for camping as it's cheap and I've heard Buck are a good brand. Can anyone give me any info on this knife and whether or not it'd would be suitable for camping? I only really need it for general use, cutting sizle etcetera but is it a decent enough knife? Hold up fairly well?

Ross-24 - I would not bring that as my only knife for camping. It would probably fit nicely into a PSK (persoal survival kit), but with the blade being about 1-3/4 inches it is designed more to be carried on a keychain. You would be very limited in what you could do with a knife that small. I would prefer something a bit more substantial than that.

I agree a a4.5 inch blade is optimal any thing smaller is combersome to work with.

If you want to buy Buck, I would consider the Buck Vanguard. It meets all the criteria I've metioned in my Blog & certain places on the Survival Knife Sticky. For a good Buck Folder check out the Whitaker models. Please don't let "cheap" be your primary motivation. How much is your like worth?
