I get off today at 1pm and me and trooper are setting out for our long drive to NS Canada, man I am sooooooooo pumped to be going trekking up there plus a canoe trip too!!! Days of wilderness living colonial style!!!!
I'll take some picks and post'em when I get back.

We drive up to Bar Harbor Maine, then go across to NS and head to Louisbourg for a big French & Indian war gathering on the 25th 26th and 27th for the 250th anniversary event of the fort, we actually leave on the 26th fro the trek and we canoe back over to Maine going along the bank for several miles and up several rivers before we trek for three more days camping along the way following the river and ending up in the Auburn at the old Amitgonpontook Indian village on Abenaki land. Actually we leave our cars in Main at the end point. So its canoe and old trekking trails for 6 days. I'm off from today at 1pm until the 30th for the event. Any one in those areas let me know. Its 714 miles on canoe and foot in five days, so they say. The canoe part goes really fast they say, the actual foot treking takes the longest. We canoe from Louisbourg to Larrys River, a longer canoe to Liverpool, and then Clarks Harbor and across to Bar Harbor Maine, then up the other rivers until we hit an area Boothbay Harbor and then its on foot.
The canoes are birchbark made by Henri Vaillancourt, two are 35 footers, and three are 24 footers with two 18 footers on the flanks, there the Algonquin
fur trade style. I'm really looking forward to this.

Take the CAT across. It's quite a trip in itself!! You ferry your vehicle across and enjoy the ride! Watch out for porcupines in NS. Those blasted things are all over the roads!
