View Full Version : Snare Fishing
Here's another tool you can add to your food gathering tool box. Snare fishing. Either by setting a snare or by actively using a snare to catch fish.

Looks interesting. Can't have too many tools in the tool box. Thanx.

Around these parts we call tying a line with a few spaced hooks to a sapling or limb and using a rock, brick etc to throw out a hand line. The one we take across the river with many hooks and weights tied to both ends we call a trot line. You got us on one thing, we don't do any ice fishing.

I've tried to catch big minnows with a snare but all I could catch was crawdads.
