How do I get the Avatar I uploaded to this site to display next to my name

I uploaded the avatar photo a ways back and I can see it when I visit my profile page but when i make posts I do not see it. Am I not suppose to see it since its my post or is there some option that I must select?

In the upper right hand corner click on Settings, in the left hand menu click on Avatar.

Thx Rick, I had done that the 1st time but that also was the 1st time where I was unable to log back in redoing that fixed my problem.
