View Full Version : Grill
Who actually spends money on buying a grill when all you need is an old sink!
Add wood and oil.. set the wood on fire..
make some kebabs...
oh yea, don't put leaves. They make the food taste bad.

Great idea, Omid! And let's not forget about that tub in an old washing machine. It makes a great grill too! All my redneck friends and I use one.

this one is several years old. it has about two hundred pounds of refractory in the bottom. once this joker heats up it will stay hot. bottom barrel is the burn zone once i get a good bed of coals going i start slipping it the pecan
top barrel has a damper that lets me cut off direct heat while keeping the smoke
belive it or not theres been some mighty fine meat come off that grill

dragonjimm, what did you do with the hazardous materials that were stored in those barrels previously? :D
Actually, that is really cool! I would love to roast a pig in one of those. Yum-yum!

ummm thats known as seasoning;)
actually they were used to transport 4 inch steel mill balls for the cement plant next door to us. these mill balls are cast steel so theres no chromium, manganese or other poisonous compounds to worry about. they dont even put a light coat of oil on them.
the first one i built was for my pa in law and we did a little 60lb pig for my 30th 24hours to smoke it we had stuffed the cavity with a couple chickens ...man the meat slid off that pig like butter.

Omid - It's not the size of your grill, but rather how you use it.
