Komodo Dragons are pretty interesting. I've only seen them in zoo's, but they were BIG! I wish the article explained what went wrong for the diver's to get stranded - I guess in addition to Bare Wilderness Numpty's :eek: we have Open Ocean Numpty's. :D
I think even their bite is deadly because the bacteria it contains can lead to sepsis. Not something I want to be confronted with.

I found a few articles on these divers (not the ex) seems like the got caught in strong currents and just disappeared. I've done my fair share of open ocean dives. The one thing that kept getting pounded into our heads during training was to "Plan your dive and dive your plan" (sometimes to the point where you just wanted to say SHUT-UP). But if you're diving in an area where tides or currents are present you must establish that prior to your dive - your life may depend on it.

what they do is that they leave meat from their old meals in their mouth, and the bacteria make it poisonous. If that rotting meat gets into your blood, you're a goner.
