I know this can be a tired topic but...

Nalgene water bottle safety and the chemicals that maye be in water stored in these bottles. I have stayed away from these bottles, but have very little hard evidence they cause problems.

I commented before that my son is in a eco-toxicology course at a local university... the professor was talking to us at an orientation about these bottles.

According to him one of the chemicals that leach into liquids from these bottles has the same effect on the male body as estrogen - drink it and slowly reduce your manhood.

The guy also studies hormones and other toxins in treated water supplies... He is finding male fish downstream from water treatment plants that are developing female reproductive organs apparently from estrogen in the water from the pill... and there is more estrogen left in the treated water that people drink than escapes downstream.

Can anyone say man-b:eek::eek:bs?

So, if you are a city-dweller, you should use an activated charcoal filter on your tap - it effectively filters out the hormones.

That would make backyard shirts vs. skins contests interesting!
What if a guy grew a bigger pair then his girlfriend...that could be a problem.

Still I gotta go pick me up some of those bottles.
I have a item I purchased 2 years ago, w/o a receipt, I want to return for cash...LOL
Also never get another traffic ticket!
Then again if I grew a really bodacious pair I might never leave the house...;)

Yup. I see reports on the additive, bisphenol-A, in a variety of science magazines from North American Fisherman to Discover to Popular Science. And nope, your local city water plant doesn't filter out hardly anything that goes down your drain. That includes medicines in the raw (unused meds) and meds that have not been metabolized by your body (they come out via your urine).

Your water plant only filters out, basically, solids, and harmful bacteria. No chemicals or anything else.

Is that why Mr. Proenoke moved to Alaska? He didn't mention why in his video. He seemed as healthy as a horse in his video.

WE - Do you do routine testing on the water?
