Many of us have dogs that we take along into the woods with us, what do you guys carry in terms of first aid supplies for them?
I bring pliers (for porcupine quills), a sock, duct tape, aspirin and meloxicam for the dogs in addition to the people first aid supplies. And I want to photocopy the emergency response pages out of my dog health book to take them along.

If they're prevelant in your area, a flea comb is useful.

Hey WildWoman - Check out this link. It is from the American Veterinary Medical Association. It covers disaster plans for animals but if you scroll down it has recommended first aid kit supplies:

Not sure what is in them, but St. John Ambulance offers a pet first aid kit as well as first aid courses for pets.
