I am having a hard time finding a good selection of cordura or other good heavy nylon, webbing, seat belt material, latches, etc. Everyplace that has the good stuff wants to sell by the truckload. Any tips where to look? Even ebay is slim pickins.
Yeah, I'd like to hear some input on this one too. Same here

what are ya looking fur, how long ?what uses?
I'd like to be able to buy just like a few yards of good webbing material at a time. Make a couple of belts, slings, replace some straps on old packsacks. I don't know what h8mtv wants.

I was looking for plastic buckles for some projects I had in mind. Found this site http://www.itwnexus.com/index.php where they will send you free samples. I received about 16 buckles at no charge. I'm not sure what their prices are like, or the minimum quantities that you need to order. The stuff they sent me is good quality. I've made a couple of survival bracelets with them. Learning the weave to make belts and slings.

Pet supply stores, and fabric stores, and mountain climbing stores.
Crash: cool, free is good
hopeak: How many mountain climbing suppliers you figure I have around here, LOL, heart of the windswept prairies and all, actually there is one come to think of it, but fabric stores I've come up blank. Pet supply stores sounds worth checking, thanks.
ITW Nexus is the best in my book.
For those of you that can purchase wholesale, you might try the Hitex Company at:
www.hitexcorp.com
Otherwise, you might try these guys. They have a bit of everything:

Ask any women in the office about fabric stores, or yellow pages. Fabric store is to a women, what a gun store is to a man. They got REI in Canucksville....?

I am mostly after 1000d Cordura, ladder locks, 1" webbing, seatbelt material, snaps, etc. I did find a really good dealer of hardware and webbing on ebay, name is ragstorichesproducts.

REI Carries a lot of that here. Are there any sled dog racing teams around..? They build their harness or racings out of heavy webbing.
Some of the Army/Navy surplus stores have heavy webbing.

Here’s some 1000d cordura (and other stuff). A bit spendy though. http://www.seattlefabrics.com/nylons.html#fc1
E-Bay’s got some stuff too. http://stores.ebay.com/Kline423-Fabrics-and-Notions_Cordura-Coated-Fabric_W0QQfsubZ1144143
It works okay for me. What are you getting?
