Okay, here it is. Democracy in action. Who would you choose as Supreme Benevolent Ruler of Traxistan? You may vote for more than one candidate.
Ken, I think you have confused the type of government of Traxistan. It's not a democracy but a Traxkritarchy. It's a Kritarchy in as much as there is equal justice for all and follows the ideal concept of natural rights. Unless, of course, that justice or those rights are contrary to the well being and comfort of Trax. Hence, a Traxkritarchy (Trax comes first :D).
I know who really runs Traxistan, and I can not believe you all don't see it.

Sam nailed it. And I'm only doing this "rule" thing if it doesn't cut into my important stuff like hunting and fishing. So, if you're gonna live in Free Traxistan, solve your own problems and be nice to your neighbor, and bring bacon to the imperial cabin.

The Admiral of the Japanese Navy stated that he would advise against an invasion of America because there would be a gun behind every blade of grass.

In fact, I have conjured up a few things, with input from the pygmies of course, that would cause mere humans to flee. Everyone can sleep well. There will be no invasion. No idle threats from warlords. Excuse me a moment.......I'm back. Some of the pygmies were reading over my shoulder and began laughing when I type the word warlord. Excuse me again. The pygmies have suggested that you might still be able to live near us. In Idaho. They have a compound that they now own and have offered to let you stay there if you are willing to clean the stables of the Shetland Ponies. They are ponies, after all, so the stalls aren't that big. You might take some time to think about it while my hand hovers above the button.

I never mess with another guys Momma). Most Northern Georgia guys, I'm told, can't read that well, so they think the label on the package that reads "Dog Crap" actually says "From Family.":D

I would imagine that it would depend on your definition of semi-successful. In todays society people are often judged by material things. Nice house, nice car, 2.6 kids....must be successful. But the individual that has been fending for themselves, living on the streets, dumpster diving, living off the land.....those individuals do not have as long a journey as the "successful" ones in order to survive. Just a thought.

A little off topic but I doubt folks that can't be at least semi-successful would manage to be productive in a SHTF situation either. It just doesn't seem likely. Then, again, I'm sure somebody will mention Ulysses Grant, Hitler or Napoleon as an example to prove me wrong.

I would imagine that it would depend on your definition of semi-successful. In todays society people are often judged by material things. Nice house, nice car, 2.6 kids....must be successful. But the individual that has been fending for themselves, living on the streets, dumpster diving, living off the land.....those individuals do not have as long a journey as the "successful" ones in order to survive. Just a thought.

The point was that they all came from nothing but ending up being great leaders in a SHTF situation. Ironically the two that lost are more popular than the guy that won.
