Actually the idea has been around a long time......

Have to admit....he did a real good job, with mostly a straight face....and if he would have opened a panel to change batteries....I would have lost it....

Lol. I had a great uncle who owned a junk mechanic shop, wrecking service, and junk yard that were all wrapped up into one business. He had a giant military radio (probably wwi or Korea war era) that he kept at the back door going out to the junk yard. Whenever people would ask what kind of military equipment it was, he would say it was a military weather radio and give a similar explanation. First time he gave that explanation, I lost it.

I have found this to be very useful in the past. Note - It's best to use a hardwood for the tripod sticks. Also, I used to have my own weather rock kit that I'd keep in my pack, so I can always already have it ready to set up. But it turns out that you need to use a native stone from whatever area that you're going to be in. If you pack in a rock that you've gotten from somewhere else, it doesn't work so well.

Good advice....seems many rocks for different places have Juju attached to them....that give back kusk to those the remove them for their native settings....

So one should perform a vision quest and blessing.....to that Great Spirits.....allowing you...the rock to see what vibes are attached.
You wouldn't want to stumble on someones orphan Pet Rock for the 1970's.
They are still angry.

Most of the pet rocks that are still angry are the ones that got hung on a wall for display on the cord they come with. Back then I heard you weren't supposed to do that...it's like 'hanging' them, as in like hanging a person by a rope around the neck.

Any people that are angry...are just because they changed their mind after setting their rock free into the wild. But I understand that the orphaned rocks themselves were a bit glad to be let loose. Though they might still be bitter from being captured in the first place and put into a cage.

.......OR they thought...."What a dumas...." for spend money on that.

I can relate to that process....
