In nibbling my way through the newly emerging vegetation again, I discovered that the leafbuds of Saskatoons (Serviceberry) taste exremely good! They have a very nice almond flavour.
Another tasty spring dish is dandelion pesto with wild chives. Chop finely, add garlic and olive oil if you have, and toss with pasta. Also good without garlic and oil.
