That one looks a lot like out childhood "forts"......
Ours were built from jack pine pretty much....as the "woods" was just across the street of out neighborhood in a small town or 3000.

Land was owned by the city, I guess.....but was covered with jack pine, all about the same age.....and no one seemed to mind bunch of kids cutting them down and building stuff.

Yep, survival lilly. Seen a lot of her vids. They are mostly of her playing in the woods. She does give some good hints and tips. It is obvious she is learning as she goes along, like most of us.

She announced on Facebook the other day that her dog died.

Hate to hear that.

Most of her videos are done on her family farm but she has progress beyond the beginner stage at this point, she just finished an 5 day solo on Vancouver Island. She flew in by helicopter.

Her day job is as an accountant so she makes good money, she is single with no kids and can afford to do things like that.

I could never marry a girl like that. Every time I would see her building something like that I would wonder if it was the doghouse I was going to be sent to.

May have seen her stuff before.....But thought this one was worthy to share.

Sorry to hear about the dog.

No kidding about the dog. Seen her dog in a lot of her vids, darn fine K-9. Sad to hear the news.

Just like what's his name. Thought she might be his sister.

She is. Her real name is What's Her Name. The Name family is big in that part of the country. You may have heard of her grandfather, Your Name.

I dream to make a shelter like that , but wanting to make it is different and can make is different , I walked in the woods for weeks to find such place with somewhat construction materials but was not able to find any.

I have a different preference. Based on only materials found - no tarps or modern cordage. Never seen it done by anyone else yet online.

Most of her videos are done on her family farm.

That is indeed Lilly, who puts out a ton of videos. The shelter is on her cousins land, which seems to be pretty large (she did a video with him a while back). Sounds like the ideal scenario; lots of open space owned by a close family member.

She did an excellent video on wilderness hygiene, but I will never feel the same about the Swedish flag again.

LOL.....Can relate.......Just remember when using a trout stream....slow shallow water on out side of a river bend is much warmer than the deep hole in the apex of the for mentioned said river bend.

I aslo like to have a tushy warmer fire going first...
Also......Ivory soap floats...Just saying....
We don't have natural yucca in Wisconsin that I know of....

Actually surprised no one sells "Tactical Ranger OD Green Floating Soap" ...$19.95
