Not familiar with Brazilian knives (guns yes). I'm sure Pict will be around to answer for you.

Zebu Pocketknives (http://www.zebubarretos.com.br/)

Here´s a link to the company website. It is only in Portuguese and doesn't give any prices but you can see what they have to offer. Most of the shops downtown that carry pocketknives will have an assortment of Zebu's for sale. Understand that distribution here is not just point and click like in the "Other America". I have never seen some of these knives offered for sale in shops, just a random sample of what you see on that page.

They do make several versions in carbon steel. The stainless is 420. The QC from what I've seen is very uniform, they turn out a good product. The springs are very stiff, but the knife will break in eventually. Blades have had no play on the six or seven that I have bought.

These are solid knives. In fact I was planning on getting five of the large aluminum handle folders for use when I take guys out to the bush. I went with Mora's instead, but the large Zebu would easily fill that role for about the same price and they are available here (unlike the Moras). I will often lace a small Zebu onto my machete sheath just to have a small knife available if I only take the machete. I keep a small aluminum Zebu in my BK-7 sheath pouch in front of my Altoids tin. I have used the small Zebu for such things as making yucca cordage and skinning lizards.

I often carry this rig with a 16 inch Tramontina machete. That was what I was using in the video.

WTF? It just looks like a buck knife that you broke the tip off of.

That is how they are made. That blade style is all the rage in brazil. Mac

It looks a lot like the blade off of an old style straight blade razor.

Kind of looks like the old TL-29 military issue with a beefier blade.
