I live in north Texas, but have lived all over the United States. About 10 years ago my then-husband and I, through an unfortunate set of circumstances ended up stranded in the National Forest in the Rocky Mountains. While we had a trailer full of food, gear and supplies, it was a time of survival as we eventually were forced to supplement our food by foraging and hunting.
Because we had begun storing food before that, we survived, but if we hadn't, it might have gotten really rough. I learned a lot about wilderness survival during that time. Since then I've continued to add to my store of knowledge, learning more about both wilderness and urban survival.
I look forward to getting to know folks here and learning even more...although I think time is quickly running out (IMHO)
