I found a claw hammer beside the road and made this tomahawk. I ground off the claw part and welded on a piece of steel. Then tempered the steel and put an edge on it.

It needs a better temper job for the blade. The hammer end still works good.

Looks good to me, just grind the weld down. If you need just edge temper use a torch, then into oil when cherry red, don't really need to go to non-magnetic for that.

Looks great and I agree about stopping and picking up the hammer...How many people passed it by and you stopped and gave it a new life...
