Hi I'm new here (Obviously). I posted due to the awesome recipes and info on Crayfish/Crawdad/Crawfish (delete as applicable).

Bit about me:

I'm 26 years old, married with 2 children (1 lad (18 months old) and 1 lass (9 years old)). I originally herald from the Isle of Man (wee island which resides in the Irish Sea but not part of UK or GB), but I live in Buckinghamshire, England. I'm a former British Soldier having served in the Royal Signals Corp (Comms & IT) and I was deployed to various locations such as Germany & Iraq.

Unfortunatly I had to leave the army following a 'friendly fire' (Any incoming fire isn't friendly fire IMO!) incident which resulted in a very large amount of shrapnel lodged through my shin. During the course of treatment they discovered a brain tumour behind my left eye, so that was the end of my army career!
Had the tumour removed 25/1/07 and been cleared since 17/4/07.

Worked a variety of IT jobs since leaving the army, but recently started writing a book (Cookery :D) so very much into decent food (and if its free then even better!).

From what I've read of the various posts so far I'm finding the individuals to be intelligent and funny (With the occasional troll thrown in and banned).

Hope to add my 2p worth very soon

I thought he said the trolls were intelligent and funny and we should be banned. That would make a lot more sense.

Man - Talk about being wounded turning out to be a mixed blessing! Sheesh. Who'd a thunk? Glad to hear it's going okay. 1 year down!

Welcome to the forums! I'm pretty new here as well but the folks are friendly and they all make you feel at home. So pull up a chair and stay for awhile.
