Hello All,
I stumbled upon this forum, and love it!
I've been a 2-wheeled dual-sport adventure rider, but I'm not getting any younger these days (38) so I've been exploring the great outdoors at a slower/safer pace. I recently purchased Kayak's for my wife and I, and I've been hiking/backpacking/kayak camping with my cousin. :D I used to think that adventure required a motor, but that is not exactly true anymore. I have a bunch of survival gear, and I've been seriously thinking about doing some extended deep woods backpacking. I'm known by my family as "worst case scenerio man" because I always see the worst side of what "could" happen. Katrina + New Orleans flooding = kaos; saw that coming. I believe survial tragedies could happen anywhere. If power outages or gas shortages ever occur near you, you can bet that kaos will follow. My glass is half empty, but that way of thinking has always served me well. (Remember, chance favors the prepared.)
