I know many of these exist, I'm leaning towards the Sunnto one at the moment, but I was wondering if there is a better one out there. I would like a non battery operated model where the thermometer goes down below -20F. I haven't seen any that go lower.
I want to put this with my emergency pocket kit when we move to Alaska.
Any help is greatly appreciated on this, I know it seems a bit trivial, but I just want the best that I can get.

I got mine from Radio Shack. The thermometer and compass are small but fairly accurate.
I know where north is and know when it is dang hot or dang cold in an instant. I also know, using it, when it is time to start the bacon and coffee!

Please Burn all bright orange clothing, or give it to a homeless person....:)

Those blaze orange hats and vests, and coats that most states require wearing to be hunting.

I got mine out of Cabella's about 10 years ago for Christmas.
Mountaintrekker - You might look at the Brunton Tag-A-Long Plus Thermometer (9045) or the Brunton Universal Thermometer Compass (10NL). Since Silva SE makes both Brunton and Nexus you'll find almost identical Nexus products. Both are less that $15.00.
You might also look as Sun Co.'s 805 "Zipper Snapper 2" Thermometer. Around $8.00
You will probably want to steer away from the Silva Forecaster. The thermometer has a tendency to fall off.

Hey thanks Rick!
be careful of the compas thermometer packs from coleman. I was on a LONG hike in the pocanoes and the plastic back fell off...

Dakota Watches have compass/Thermometer carabiner watches. Mine goes to 0F/-20C, and the Compass has proven accurate enough for survival.
