For the past couple of days I've been feeling a little overwhelmed. When I woke up this morning and seen how nice it was I desided to head out for a few hours. So I loaded up the wheeler and my .22lr and headed for the Knik Glacier. Along the way I picked up a Snowshoe. Up near Wolf Point I desided to stop for lunch. I built a fire and cooked the rabbit and had it with a sugarfree Sobe "No Fear". Then layed back and took a nap in the sunshine. I feel so much better now. God I love days like today.:)

Sounds great. Days like that are good for the soul.

Yes they are. I guess I should mention that the snowshoe fell to the .22 lr (a Browning BL-22) and the fire was started with a fire steel. The rabbit was cooked in aluminum foil seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic. I took my nap on a small tarp I carry on my wheeler.

Klkak, What kind a' wheeler...???? Just kidding. You ever been up grasshopper or Friday creek back in the back. I've been in some good plane crashes back up on Snowshoe Lake, and Lake George. In fact my neighbor died back there between Lake George and White Out Lake. Just off Knik Glacier.

I have an 06' Artic Cat 500 manual shift. I've been into Grasshopper once in a Maul and Lake George several times in the same plane. I've walked up Friday creek hunting a couple of times. In Sept of 06" I broke my leg about 2 miles up Metal creek while moose hunting. In the summer I guide ATV tours up to the Kink glacier. I've been up to the glacier so many times I think I could ride the trail blind folded.:D

Back in the 60' & 70's there were some HOG Dall Sheep back Metal Cr. Carbon Cr. and Friday Cr.
Troublesome Creek by Little Lake George is a nice valley on the other side.
Is that squatter still living back in the back in the Birch grove past Hunter Creek but down on the Knik Flats.....?

I seen a 7/8th at Wolf point today while up there. In the past I've seen some I think would go full. Sheep hunting is not my thing so I just look at them. As for the squatter, I think so. I noticed one day that there is a "No Trespassing" sign next to the bridge on Hunter creek, and folks have told me to stay away from there that the clan living there are not friendly to strangers.
