I am having problems with a straight through TCPIP connection. At a point in posting comments started getting redirects to a gay site and login problems. Thought maybe having issues with my DHCP or local RAS, I proceeded with UPRBTOR protocols. This allows me access to the site but makes things take much longer and doesn't allow a constant login. Since I am having no other trouble with any other sites I have visited with standard browsing, makes this very weird that I have to go though these steps in order to access this site since last night. I have tried 3 browsers chrome, internet explorer, and fire fox, and have experience the exact issue on all of them which makes me feel sure that the issue isn't with my hardware.

This is the error I receive:
The connection to www.wilderness-survival.net was interrupted.
Error code: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

I and a few others have had the same problem. I too tried different browsers plus my iphone. The problem was that the site was being blocked at my modem (even the wifi). The fix for us was to call our ISP because this site was being blocked by them because of that gay porn hack.

Hey thanks for that. Now that know that I was not intentionally being block on the site I went in change my MAC address and "whala!!!" Thanks helped a lot. Much easier then running though a TOR

Glad you were able to fix it. Also glad that there was no conspiracy to hinder your access to the site.:whistling:

I would be interested to know if Comcast is your ISP. Those of us that have run into this, that I am aware of, have been on Comcast.

I know TCPIP, DHCP, RAS and TOR but don't think I've heard of UPRBTOR.
A Startpage search just said due to having the Family Filter enabled the results could not be displayed. A regular Google just listed the 1st post and this thread.
Why are you still a guest? Join already. That's an easy hack.

UPRB- Unique Protocol Radical Binary TOR- Technique Of Operation Probably a term not really used anymore. After all I quit microsoft back in '96. We used it like whiteboard before white board was ever even thought of. Most people think of ONION when they think Tor but you can configure your own quickly and can connect by individually placed ip and MAC routs. Basicly you are simplifying the UDP and drops the start/stop bit code at your 1st RAS. When your Unique protocol is recognized it will redirect back to your IP. Only computers you allow can find the unique protocol and return back to your IP. So it can be simply with just one redirect or like onion and redirect though a hundred different routes This was a usual way of determining problems with NetBEUI- IPXSPX issues with HTTPS, TCP/IPs. There are most likely thousands of TORs that we will never know about that are buying and selling drugs guns ext. its just the public found out about onion because they were getting stupid, or was it greed.

Anyway my connection is through Satellite. I run though the wildblue, maybe comcast routes though there.
