In his "Book of Knots and Ropework" Eric Fry calls this the Pineapple Knot. I started with 2 40" long lengths of paracord folded in halve and seizd together

Tie a crown knot to the right.

Pick any strand and continue to left Over one strand, Under one strand. Repeat with other 3 strands

Tie crown knot to lhe left.

Begin to double the knot. Take any strand and bring it to the left of existing strand in knot. Repeat with other three strands.

Continue over the bottom end of knot and up to the top.

Bring the ends through center of knot with heamostat.

Untie the seizing. Tug on lower loop to hide it in center of knot. Tighten the knot.

This is a fun knot to play with. The ends can be cut flush with and hidden in the knot. You can cut the ends away from the knot and either brush the ends into a fringe or leave them alone. You can have more than one over under sequence as you start the knot or have zero over unders and go directly from one crown to the second. You can certainly use 2 colors if you desire. If you switch the direction of the crown knots you will change the direction of the turns of the knot
