hi guys (and gals!) the caption just about sums it up. i was presented with a huge challenge last week--a broken wrist so have been desperately trying to find the patience for waiting as i heal. i just know all those "to do" lists on the fridge are learing, taunting, teasing.:( hope life is going for all as hoped or planned or as close as possible. just didn't want all you great bunch thinking i flew the coop!:p any thoughts you could spare to send this way regarding that much needed speedy recovery sure would be appreciated! hugs. donna:)

Sorry to hear about the wrist. Don't let it slow you down. Before you know it you'll be good as new.

Never had a broken wrist but I did have it diced once. So I know how irritating it is, even simple things like getting dressed and taking the cap off of your toothpaste can be cumbersome. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you.

2pine,hope you are feeling better soon, looks like we need an injured members forum on here,Bragg broke his arm over the past week also!:eek:Broke mine when I was a kid,and even learned to tie my shoes with one hand!
You will be surprised what you can learn to do one handed if you have to!

thanks for the kind words of encouragement everyone!! it is amazing how quicky one can adapt or adjust to any given situation. this is the second time a wrist was broken--the first time it was the right one, and when i was a kid a broken arm. PLEASE let that old saying of how things happen in 3's be true--i have now met my quota!!:( Nell and Bragg --here is to a speedy recovery for you both--Bragg for your healing, Nell for a good supply of patience taking up the slack doing the things he can't do for a while!!:):):)

2pineacres - one of the things that I like about this forum is that if you come here with no ill intent, you're welcomed with open arms and "officially" a member.

Scared? uh-uh, I doan git skeered. Nell's like a song to me:

"Up on Cripple Creek, she sends me
If I spring a leak she mends me,
I don't have to speak she defends me
A drunkards dream if I ever did see one..."

God bless Robbie Robertson and the The Band

I once saw this duck come in for a landing on a frozen lake. Only he didn't seem to know it was frozen. He sort of hit the ice then slide quite a ways on his tail feathers before taking flight again. I think I've just seen it a second time. Brush the ice off your keester there Trax.

trax

Pay attention skippy, just like the song said, she's gonna come back and defend me.

Um, I mean, so 2pines, how's that arm doin'?

nell67
04-22-2008, 06:03 PM
He's right Rick,he navigated his landing very well! His cute little keester is just fine:D

1. I didn't say you did anything wrong.
2. I sort of liked seeing you slide along like that.
3. I never get in between and man and....and....his angel.:o

Watching a duck slide across the ice is like watching a cat try to jump through the window (that it doesn't see)!

Hope you feel better soon!

I have arther in my wrists and gout in there at times too. A cast can slow you down but does not need to stop you.
