Hi -
Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for good post-apocalyptic fiction. I found this thread:

but wanted to see if there were any more suggestions. I've got shelves and shelves of how-to and other non-fiction books dealing with self-sufficiency and survival skills. I just like to "escape" every once in awhile with some good fiction and see how different authors choose to represent their ideas of what it would be like if there were big changes in our society.
Right now, I'm reading "Oryx and Crake" by Atwood and I am finding it a little creepy. I've recently read:
"The Parable of the Sower" by Butler (really good!)
"I am Legend" (the original)
"The Road" by McCarthy
and a bunch of others that I didn't really keep track of. I also read "The Omnivore's Dilemma" which, while non-fiction, really made a difference in how I think about food and choose what to eat.
Anyone got some suggestions?
