I love coffe. Many on here share my affection for the stuff. How much would you pay for a cup? How 'bout if it had cat poo in it? That's right. No typo here. I for one will say - no thanks.

Nope... I love coffee probably better than any other beverage (coin toss with crafted beer), but I like it plain, black and strong with out any additives what so ever.

"The civets are said to pick the best and ripest coffee berries."

Juan Valdez and his donkey have been out sourced to a cat!

For those of you who get the Travel channel, there is a show with Andrew Zimmern where he eats all sorts of nasty stuff. A culinary experience for sure. But he did a bit on the civit siphoned cat coffee and said it tasted very good. My luck would have me drinking it and loving it before knowing what it was.

No thanks. However, any Starbucks addicts here? I'm a recovering SBA. Used to buy 1 - 2 cups a day, until I figured I could buy a pound of it for 2 days worth store trips. Still like specialty coffee, I just make it at home.

Rick, it's actually very good. I dont know if it's the animals digestive juices that changes the flavor or not. It has a smooth earthy robust flavor that is very addictive. A real treat a couple times a year.

I know you'd like it. ;)

I think the price rather then where the beans come from would stop me. Im more a toss a hand full of grinds in the pot and boil it guy. And I'm to cheap for that. Just think of all the bacon you could buy.

This was actually on the news here in Indy tonight. $100 a cup is what they reported. I'm buying a couple of tabbys and feeding them coffee beans. I'll be in business shortly if anyone wants to place an advanced order. I'll reduce the price if you separate the beans from the poop yourself.:D
