I had planned on going for a hike today in search of chaga. Last night just before bedtime I got up from the couch and a spasm went through my lower back, this morning it hurt like ell.

So I moped around and decided to put together a project that has been on my mind for a while.

I made a "shoulder belt" for carrying a handgun in a shoulder holster position. It's made from a leather belt, a chunk of a cinch strap and a couple copper rivets. The narrow strap goes over the right shoulder and this puts the holster near the left armpit. The belt can be used with other holsters too.

here's a couple photos

I plan on adding a strap to the lower part of the holster. This strap will attach to my trouser belt. In search of a Chicago bolt to attach the strap to the holster, this way it can be removed easily.

thanks for looking

I've been known to scare kids and small animals so I figured a photo of me may not be wise LOL.

I like the sholder rigs....the single rigs, that don't have to be belted on....

Fine work, and great idea.

Extended this one as well.....

Very nice, I've been scratchin my head trying to do this with mine. I'd like to include some kind of extra ammo on the belt also.

You did a fine job. Hope the back gets to feeling better. That's no fun.

Thanks for the comments. I've been using it on a regular basis during my hikes. Last weekend I made it out and found the mother lode of chaga. I'll leave it on the hoof so to speak and harvest as needed.
