Hello everyone.
I currently am 16 years old, and live in Ontario. My favorite thing in the world to do is go fishing. I fish for pike, bass and musky, as well as fly fish for trout in a local river. All of my intrests revolve around nature, the wilderness, and adventure.
As far as survival experience goes, i do not have much. However i am very smart, athletic and determined. I own an air rifle, and target practice often. (i would not kill any animals unless i needed to for survival)
I am very interested and am going to test myself against the wild soon this year. I still need to plan out all of the details. I am open to any suggestions, and am constantly reading information on the net about wilderness survival.

Thanks for having me guys,
Shifty

Hi there Shifty and Welcome to the forum. Nice to see another guy on here from Ontario. :) You sound a lot like me when I was sixteen. :-) Where did you get that nickname? You can sure learn a lot here if you start digging through some of the threads. Do you have a good knife yet? SAK's are pretty useful and can go almost anywhere and do a pile of work for you. What caliber is that air rifle of yours? I have a 177 and a 22 cal and love them both. Have you started putting together a survival kit yet? They are fun to build and add a lot of insurance to your outdoor adventures...
Later,

LarryB

Welcome Shifty, I'm new here too, and also from Ontario! So far that's you, LarryB, and myself...a good start. :) What part of Ont. do you hail from. I'm presently stuck in urban Mississauga, but as soon as retirement hits( or shtf) I'm up to Northern Ontario.
Well, good on ya!
Cheers
Alex
