This is my favorite bush knife combo (Ontario T.A.K. & Leatherman Kick) & my 4 yearold twin boys .
Both combos are GREAT :D

Looks like a couple of troopers. Like the walking sticks, too. I wish you many years of adventure and fun with them!!

I'm an Ontario knife fan.

Great pics and the walking sticks are cool :) I know it's no biggie and they are young but I was wondering, they don't always wear cotton out in the woods do they?

I do in the summer. Wool in the winter.

Looks like fun, I am starting to have that fun with the grandson. Try to pass along some of what dad taught me.

There is something about boys, woods and water that just seem to be made for each other.

Thanks Guys, this is the twins first time out in the woods, I started them fishing last summer & they loved it so this summer I'm getting them into the woods , going to try a camping trip w/ the twins around the end of next month ! We have a local campground (small) about 10min from my house (Fishtrap lake, Grapevine KY.) I thought this would be the best way to get them into camping (close to home) Any ideas on things to do on the twins first campout?

Make a game out of the lessons that you want them to learn. Make them short and fun, but have a lesson in mind. At their ages teaching safety is always a good one. Identifying plants or wildlife, or as has been posted elsewhere, how to hug a tree and blow a whistle.

Teach them how to make S'mores. You will be the best dad ever. ;)

Camp in your backyard a couple of times. I found this was the best way to get children used to sleeping outside. Have them help you set camp... they will be bugging you to help anyways. Do something before you go to bed, like story telling or cooking marshmallows over a fire. Do this each time, then when you actually go camping. This will help them adjust to their new environments. Most of all... make it fun!

If the chance to get them up on a clear, moonless night, with the stars out just sit and watch the heavens, it is wonderful as I'm sure you know. I did this with my son years ago, and I still think about the expressions that it came out of such a little boy.

What I see is 2 reasons to stay young. Keeping up with them must give you insite into life, that only a child can see and you get it double.

I have a twin sister. Twins can be fun.
