The 5th Jamboree in NC gave us (DW, Maggie Mae, and I) a chance to kinda "dry run" our gear.

Big Red (F 250) and trailer were loaded with camping gear, food coolers, clothes.....and we did succumb to the "one more thing syndrome".

Truck is outfitted with a dome tent, tarps, sleeping bags, pack stove, battery powered lights, extra clothes, coats, rain gear, packed freeze dried food, cooking gear, water filter, and all the other truck stuff (tools) and survival gear, day packs, belts, shovel, ax, machete, knives, cordage, TP, paper towels and dog stuff.

I would guess we "could have" gotten by with what was already packed in the truck, for 3-4 days, but as this was a Jamboree where DW and dog were along.....We opted of comfort.

Enter "The trailer" held our Primitive set up used at Rendezvous,.....Wall tent, and kitchen fly, ...has floor, tarp and canvas....DW opted for a carpet as well.
Add tables, chairs, lanterns, wash basins, cook wear, fire irons.(didn't use).

Then as the trailer normally carries propane lamps, (propane) heaters, stove, tools, shovel, ax,....ah, "Other assets?" totes w/ sleeping bags/blankets, tarps, rope at all times........the primitive gear was loaded in.

So strong points
Comfortable, dry, roomy....best for extended stay.

Weak points......Just a lot of stuff, takes awhile to set up...all in all, did succumb to the "one more thing" syndrome.
If you have room, it's going.

We were there from Thursday to Sunday, ...cool nights, some rain, fog and dampness.....only trips out other than sight seeing, was for ice......meat and beer/soda....not necessary but nice.

As Crash posted, his rig was a self contained racked out pick up and tent, and provided a kitchen fly..... Krat, a mix of primitive lone pole Tipi and modern gear, .....Natertot and family, modern gear stuffed in to little car....all seemed to work well.
