Finally got a kayak to fish from. Malibu Mini X. Works great easy to load and unload from the Jeep.

That's a pretty nifty little get up. How does it handle?

Very well. A little slow being such a short boat, but very stable. Best part is how cheap it is to get out on the water at a moments notice. My Jeep is always stocked for a fishing trip with extra clothes, rods, tackle etc. Since my work is 1/4 mile from the Bay, I can head out for a short trip every day if I want.

Very cool setup. One word of advice, never places weapons or ammo in it. Don't ask me how I know.

Nice set-up. Yak fishing is pretty popular in this area too.

A couple of years back I read about two guys doing that in Hawaii. I don't remember if the current caught them or exactly what happened but they found themselves far enough away from shore that they couldn't get back before dark and had only spotty cell service. Some extra water, snacks and a cell phone are probably in order even if you stay in the bay.

Neat rig......the best boats are the ones you use a lot.
Thanks for posting.
