This thread my fit under the general thread, but it's food so I'm sticking it here.

I'm looking for a site or free online book that shows a good portion of common, high-calorie foods along with kCal/g numerics. Something like...

peanut butter_________102kCal/g
olive oil______________250kCal/g

Maybe one with a variety of high-carb, high-fat, or high-protein listings.

Why? Because although I love the freezer bag cooking idea, I can't figure out the kCals per protein/carbs/fat from each meal. I can guess using the packaging, but not accurately. Plus, I don't know how economical it would be to bring 2 freezer bag meals per day on an extended trip... not to mention the weight of fuel and water associated with each meal if I go that route.
