I am often fascinated by extreme weather. I think I could have been a storm chaser in another life. I am amazed at how much beauty there is in something that can be so destructive. Here's what made me think of it today. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=550731&in_page_id=1811

Used to do that when I was younger, not as a profession, just for kicks, tornadoes, pulled a few people out of vehicles that were blown off the road.Stopped doing that when lightening struck a transformer VERY close to where we had parked to get out of the line of a tornado,I wouldn't have parked there, but I wasn't the driver:eek:

Very scary,but awesome.

I feel the same way as long as I'm safe from it. Something about the sheer awe of the size or power, I guess but I could look out over flatland and watch a late evening lightening storm for ever. I love the smell of wet asphalt on a warm spring day and the crack of thunder in the distance.

After having several hundred grains of sand driven into my skin as I ran away from a water spout forming over a lake, tornadoes and water spouts no longer interest me for some reason.
